We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented UI/UX Designer preferably with a background in medical device design to support our dynamic and innovative R&D consultancy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating user-centric designs that enhance the user experience for healthcare professionals and patients. They should possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to work efficiently in a remote setting. This role involves working closely with our UX team to develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for cutting-edge medical products. Initial services will be on a case-by-case consulting basis, with an expected workload ranging from 15-30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft visions, concepts, and UI designs tailored for medical devices, B2B products and applications.
- Develop and design visual assets including storyboards, icons, and data visualization infographics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet user needs and regulatory requirements.
- Create UI prototypes
- Create and maintain design documentation, specifications, and guidelines.
Secondary Accountability:
- Create promotional advertisements, web banners, and social content related to medical products.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, Digital/Visual Design, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience designing user interfaces, preferably for medical devices or healthcare applications.
- Proficiency with typical UX design and prototyping tools (Adobe Suite, Figma, etc.).
- Local applicants (Tampa Bay area) desirable for in-house and client meetings but not required.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating an outcome-focused, innovative design.
- Proven ability to design for complex workflows, transactions, and systems thinking.
- Outstanding communication abilities (verbal, written, and graphical).
- Excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Knowledge of medical industry regulations and standards is a plus.
