GilAir Plus
Personal Compact Air-Sampling Pump
BH supported Sensidyne on the design and development of the GilAir Plus, a smaller, more compact version of a previous design BH had designed a few years before. Clipped to the waist in extreme environments, the Plus model had to be as compact as possible, rugged and "intrinsically-safe" (sealed internally to prevent possibility of combustion of volatile gases from internal spark or heat elevation). Additionally the Plus needed to be recharged overnight in large batches so an easily scalable charging system needed development. BH met this challenge by creating a daisy-chain charging circuit whereby multiple bases can be attached to a common controller/power-supply by the customer.
The GilAir Plus was awarded New Product of the Year Award in 2011 by the Occupational Health & Safety magazine (OH&S).
